Last year was a big year for auctions in SA, and 2023 looks set to be another cracker.
According to PropTrack data, 138 auctions are scheduled to be held across SA by the end of the weekend, with 135 of these set to take place in metro Adelaide.
Thanks to auction streaming and bidding partner Gavl, we’ll be live streaming seven of them here on Saturday.
According to PropTrack data, the most popular auction suburbs this week are Campbelltown in Adelaide’s northeast, and Ingle Farm in Adelaide’s northern suburbs. Each have four auctions scheduled for this week.
Felixstow, Largs North and Magill each have three scheduled for the week.
PropTrack economist Anne Flaherty said it the total number of properties heading to auction is set to pick up steadily over the first half of February, “albeit not at the speed seen during the same time last year”.
“The year-on-year slowdown in auction activity is unsurprising,” she said.
“This time last year, property prices were still yet to peak, and the market was several months away from the first interest rate rises.
“Conditions have since moderated and would-be vendors are displaying greater caution and, in some cases, eschewing auctions in favour of other selling methods.”
Of those properties to be live streamed here on Saturday, 53 Kyeema Ave at Cumberland Park kicks off at 10am.
The three-bedroom family home has been renovated throughout and features that iconic character facade and contemporary open-plan rear entertaining area that is so sought after.
This one has a price guide of $1.15m and is hitting the market through Ouwens Cassery Real Estate.
Also at 10am, across town at West Lakes Shore, fans of indoor and outdoor entertaining will have the opportunity to bid for a low-maintenance two-bedroom contemporary stunner.
The 9 Sandpiper Place home has been updated throughout, meaning you can simply move in and start enjoying it.
This one is being marketed without a price guide through Harcourts Smith.
Then at 11.30am, 11 Magarey St, Largs North goes under the hammer, again through Harcourts Smith.
Set just 100m from the shore, this three-bedroom 1925-built classic offers a wonderful mix of old and new and is bound to appeal to those looking to secure their slice of coastal living.
This one’s also being offered without a price guide.
So join us here on Saturday to catch all the auction action from 10am.
