Several homes sold for more than $200k above reserve on Saturday. But not every seller tasted sweet success. Catch up on the day's auction action here.
Two separate SA sellers are laughing all the way to the bank after fetching more than $200,000 over reserve for their properties in what property data company CoreLogic said has been Adelaide's busiest auction week since their records began in 2008.
Both a character charmer at 30 Fisher St Fullarton and a family stunner at 23 Cunard Drive, Hawthorndene sold for more than $200,000 over their reserves today, with Fullarton fetching $1.4 million, and the Hawthorndene property selling for $1.068 million.
CoreLogic data shows 235 properties will hit the auction block this week, with the company’s researcher Caitlin Fono saying auction momentum across the country is high.
“Auction activity continues to increase across the combined capital cities, with 3629 homes currently scheduled for auction this week,” she said.
South Australia currently has the second highest clearance rate in the country of 86.6 per cent – just behind Canberra with 88.7 per cent.
