South Australia’s auction market isn’t showing any sign of slowing down, with about the same number of SA properties hitting the auction market this weekend as last weekend.
We hosted 10 of these live here on Saturday, courtesy of auction streaming and bidding service Gavl.
Watch the live streams repplays below.
This run of solid auction numbers can be seen across the country, PropTrack economist Anne Flaherty said.

AUCTION REPLAYS AND RESULTS
“The number of auctions scheduled to take place has remained relatively stable over recent weeks, with over 2,000 auctions set to take place both this week and next,” she said.
“This is more than double the number seen at the same time last year when lockdowns were hindering market activity.
“Sales activity is likely to slow in the second half of September due to the school holidays but is then expected to bounce back strongly in October, which is traditionally the most popular month of the year to sell.
“While auction clearance rates have risen in recent weeks, they remain well below the rates seen at the height of the market earlier in the year.
“This is likely to drive a proportion of vendors to favour alternative sales methods due to the higher likelihood of properties being passed in at auction.”
PropTrack’s Property Preview Report shows 137 South Australian homes will go under the hammer this week – 129 across metro Adelaide and 8 regional properties.
This is up 1 per cent on the same period – September 5 to September 11 – last year.
Having a look at the PropTrack data a little more closely, Parafield Gardens, in the city’s northern suburbs, is the state’s top auction suburb for the week, with four scheduled to go under the hammer by the week’s end.
Findon, Prospect, Tea Tree Gully and West Beach each have three scheduled for the week.
Among the 10 homes streaming on Gavl on Saturday are 66 Hill St, Mitcham, which hits the auction block at 10am.
Set in a suburb that always attracts strong buyer interest, this home’s six bedroom floorplan places this sweet offering firmly in that already ravenous family market.
Set on an 843sqm allotment, this one is bound to draw a crowd. It’s got an auction price guide of $1.59 million.
Then at 11am a renovated three-bedroom family home at West Beach goes under the hammer.
Sitting on a 624sqm allotment and featuring a stunningly updated kitchen, this 10 Dennis Drive home is move in-ready and just waiting for you to call it home.
Set just a short walk from the beach, in one of the state’s most popular coastal suburbs, this one is sure to be a hit.
Then at 12.30pm, 34 Mary St, Unley hits the auction block.
The home, which carries a price guide of $2 million, is primely positioned in one of the state’s most prized and hotly sought-after suburbs.
Described as “breathtaking” by agent Ouwens Casserly, this renovated 1880-built symmetrical villa is packed with character charm and has four bedrooms.
Open-plan living is the order of the day here, with the rear entertainment space opening out to a covered alfresco dining area complete with ceiling fans and an outdoor kitchen.
Unley’s popular, so expect this to be an exciting auction indeed.
