The auction action was tipped to be the strongest in Campbelltown, Craigmore, Hillbank, Modbury Heights and Norwood, scheduled for three auctions each.

According to PropTrack economist Anne Flaherty, nationally over 2,000 properties are set to be auctioned over the coming week, slightly below last week’s level and down 7 per cent from the same time last year.

“Clearance rates have held relatively steady over the past few weeks, averaging in the low 50-per-cents,” Ms Flaherty said.

“While clearance rates are above the lows seen over the second quarter of this year when interest rates first started rising, they remain well below the levels seen last year, reflecting the changing dynamic in the property market,” she said.
