The recent interest rate hike by the RBA will be on the minds of many homebuyers as they head to auctions this long weekend.
PropTrack data shows it’s going to be a quiet week for auctions, with just 86 properties scheduled to go under the hammer. Of these, 76 were in metro Adelaide while the other 10 can be found in regional Australia.
Of the scheduled auctions this weekend, four auctions will be live streamed here on Saturday, courtesy of our auction streaming partner Gavl.
According to PropTrack data, Mawsons Lakes is the state’s top auction suburb for the week with four homes going under the hammer over the weekend.
The auction action is tipped to be equally strong in Athelstone and Greenacres which are scheduled for three auctions each.
Nationally, the auction numbers were down as well with 1,450 currently set to take place around the country, the data reported.

PropTrack economist Anne Flaherty said it was a one-third drop from last week and 11 per cent fewer than the same time last year.
“Driving the decline is Victoria, where just 380 auctions are scheduled due to the Labour Day long weekend. Scheduled auctions are down in South Australia, the ACT, and Tasmania, which will also experience long weekends,” Ms Flaherty said.
“Auction volumes are also picking up across the rest of the country as we head further into the autumn selling season.”
