A boutique family-owned developer has decided to take construction into its own hands amid escalating building costs.
Andrews Projects’ new construction company ‘The Construct’ will be responsible for building their $270m ‘Cascade’ development, a 229-unit masterplanned community in Robina on the Gold Coast.
Sales Manager of Andrews Projects Sarah Andrews said the ‘Cascade’ project had been the best pre-sales in Andrews’ project history.
“It is our strongest uptake before we started construction,” Ms Andrews said.
“It’s on 1.2ha. the space itself is a large luxury, and the sad thing is we will never be able to get land like this on the Gold Coast of that size. It’s the best project to live in Robina. This is a northeast-facing site. Residents will have access to a suite of six-star amenities, including a
25m resort pool, 170sq m gym, sauna, cold plunge, steam room and onsite cafe will be perfect for our clients.
“The clients interested in this project so far have been a mixture of local and interstate buyers; they’re mostly owner-occupiers. We have had a strong uptake of doctors and nurses from the adjoining hospitals.
“There’s no commute, no parking fees and for the night shift workers that get rostered on at night, how nice to be able to get home really quickly.”
Ms Andrews said her highlight of working on the project so far was creating world-class amenities for the 230 families at the end of the project.
“We started our own construction company in July, and the general vibe and feedback has been pretty positive,” she said.
“Cascade is going to set a new standard for Robina. We’ve sold all villas off-market, 1.5m to 1.6m, and have a wait list of people in the event these purchases don’t come through on settlement. If you look forward in two years, our buyers will be happy they purchased when they did.”
Over 60 per cent of residences have already been sold, with construction to commence on-site in due course, with expected delivery in 2026.
