Police are investigating “significant” new threats made against Madeleine McCann’s parents, just weeks after a woman was charged with stalking them.

Police are investigating fresh threats against Madeleine McCann’s family, just weeks after a woman was charged with stalking them.

Leicestershire Police received a report about a man in his 20s who is considered a “significant danger” to Gerry and Kate McCann and their children.

Dr Fia Johansson, a psychologist and medium from California, told The Sun she made the report to police last week after receiving “concerning information” about the man.

“I received what I believe to be credible information that this man poses a significant danger to the McCann family,” she said.

“He is aware of the McCann family’s address and is planning to fly to the UK.

“I have serious concerns about this individual and his intent so I have passed all my information to the police.”

“I am committed to doing everything I can to protect the McCann family.”

A spokesperson from Leicestershire Police told The Sun: “Police were contacted by an individual concerning an ongoing stalking investigation.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances of the report and contact has been made with the person concerned.”

In a separate incident, a Polish woman who controversially claimed to be the missing British girl before she was arrested has faced court, charged with four counts of stalking the McCann’s.

Julia Wandelt, also known as Julia Wendell, is accused of causing serious alarm or distress against the couple and is also accused of stalking Madeleine’s sister Amelia and brother Sean.

She had previously posted screenshots of alleged documents proving there are “no medical records” filed under her name before April 2009.

The 23-year-old’s post included several different apparent search engines of medical history.

“No medical records before 1 April 2009 (when I was almost 8 years old),” she said in one slide.

Madeleine was aged just three when she vanished from a villa in Portugal in May 2007 during her family’s vacation.

“No medical records before 7 December 2009 (when I was 8 years old),” a second slide was captioned, while a third read: “no medical records before December 2010 (when I was 9 years old).”

She went on to claim in a fourth slide: “No medical records before 31 January 2011 (when I was 10 years old)”.

“No medical records before 2012 (when I was 11 years old),” a final screenshot read.

Ms Wandelt will be remanded in custody until April 7.

Madeleine was aged just three when she vanished from a villa in Portugal in May 2007 during her family’s vacation. The toddler was days away from her 4th birthday.
