The official cause of death of One Direction star Liam Payne has been revealed as polytrauma, an inquest to his death has heard.
Dr Roberto Victor Cohen told the hearing while he could confirm Payne died of multiple traumas when he plunged from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires in October, it may take “some time” to fully detail the intricacies of his injuries.
The British inquest into the 31-year-old’s death was heard at Buckinghamshire Coroner’s Court on December 17 and has now been adjourned until November 6 when the court will hear the pre-inquest review.
Meanwhile Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has returned to social media for the first time since his death rocked fans around the world.
Ms Cassidy posted two photos of herself wearing a tracksuit which had the number 444 printed on it.
In a previous tribute to Payne, Ms Cassidy had laid out how the number held special significance to them as a couple as they believed it signified angels were looking over them.
The number is revered by civilisations throughout history including the Ancient Greeks.
Ms Cassidy added a crying emoji, tagged a friend in the post and wrote: “Ali (her friend) found me these sweatpants yesterday.”
A second snap revealed the detail on the tracksuit pants including embroidery which read: “Love, support, guidance from your angels.”
Believers in the spiritual significance of the number 444 look for signs of the digits in their everyday lives to bring them comfort.
