A prominent broadcaster who supported Kamala Harris in the American presidential election has said that, in hindsight, he feels like “a damn fool”.

Stephen A. Smith made the remarks while appearing on Real Time With Bill Maher, hosted by the titular comedian.

Meanwhile Donald Trump received a “hero’s welcome” while paying a visit to the casino portion of Las Vegas’ Circa Resort and Casino.

Following his Nevada rally at the venue, the President was greeted by chants of “USA! USA!”, and spent a bit of time at a craps table with a group of gamblers – where he appeared right at home.

His visit came as America’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) concluded the coronavirus is “more likely” to have emerged from a lab leak than from nature, having maintained for years it could not determine the pandemic’s origins.

“CIA assesses with low confidence that a research-related origin of the Covid-19 pandemic is more likely than a natural origin based on the available body of reporting,” an agency spokesperson said in a statement.
