Donald Trump is trying really hard to derail Kamala Harris’ Democratic convention – but two images show she may have just out-Trumped Trump.

Donald Trump has been doing his best to rain on Kamala Harris’ parade by holding a series of rallies during the Democratic National Convention this week.

But Ms Harris may have out-trumped Mr Trump – and it’s summed in two startling side-by-side images from one night.

On Tuesday, US time, day two of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) kicked off in Chicago with Barack Obama the headline speaker.

But Ms Harris was nowhere to be seen in the Windy City.

Side-by-side images show the Harris campaign and the Republicans held equally packed events, despite claims suggesting otherwise.

Because at exactly the same time as speakers lauded her on the Chicago stage, the Democratic presidential nominee was 90 minutes up the road at a separate Democratic rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Her rally was held at the Fiserv Forum, in Downtown Milwaukee. The same venue where, just three weeks ago, Donald Trump was the keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention (RNC).

The Harris campaign has said 15,000 people were at the Milwaukee rally. That’s in addition to a potential 23,500 people at the United Centre in Chicago where the DNC is being held.

The Harris campaign packed out their own convention venue and the Republicans’ convention venue at exactly the same time.

“You know this is going to live rent free in Trump’s head for weeks,” posted the Michigan Democrats on social media.

“It rips that the Democratic Party booked the exact same venue in Milwaukee that the RNC was at and it’s packed while the DNC is concurrently packed,” said one commentator.

“The raw hater energy us genuinely impressive and Donald Trump 2016 tier”.

“Trump is going to lose it,” another said of the double rallies.

Truth behind misleading image

The side-by-side photographs of the full stadiums at Chicago and Milwaukee will likely put to rest arguments that there are few people at the DNC.

MAGA social media accounts posted images on Monday showing large numbers of empty seats at the United Centre.

“There are more people protesting at the DNC than at the DNC,” one commenter observed of the image on social media.

It ignited conspiracy theories from the MAGA faithful that the image would soon be doctored by AI to make the venue look full.

However, the image of the empty seats was likely taken while people were still filtering in and finding their seats during the early part of the day’s events.

Furthermore, the same thing happened at the Republican Convention in Milwaukee in July during the first speeches each evening.

By the time Kamala Harris made a short speech to the crowd on Monday, and President Joe Biden arrived on stage, the seats were full.

On Tuesday evening in Milwaukee, Ms Harris reacted when a roll call was held in Chicago where hundreds of delegates pledging to her campaign.

Ms Harris has already been formally nominated at the Democratic candidate in order to beat an early August deadline to be on the ballot in deadline.

But the exuberant, music filled, state by state roll call – like a political version of the Eurovision Song Contest – allowed Democrats to be celebrate her nomination.

“This is a people powered campaign, and together we will chart a new way forward,” she said in Milwaukee with her words being live beamed to the DNC in Chicago.
