‘There is more’: New detail in Aussie Bali shooting case

Police have revealed a shocking development as three Australians could face the firing squad for the murder of Zivan Radmanovic at a luxury villa in Bali.

Three Australians who could face a firing squad if found guilty of the murder of Zivan Radmanovic have been paraded hooded and shackled by Indonesian police.

On Thursday, suspected gunmen Darcy Francesco Jenson, 27 and Coskun Mevlut, 23 along with alleged lookout man Tupou Paea Midolmore, 26, were chained by the ankles as they were shuffled before a press pack.

They were wearing orange t-shirts and flanked by guards.

All three men did not respond to questions asked of them by reporters.

It comes as News Corp has been told police are investigating a fourth suspect over what Indonesian authorities have dubbed a planned attack.

The Australian Federal Police, however, declined to comment on whether there was another suspect.

A spokeswoman said the investigation was being carried out by the Indonesian National Police and that it was the agency to handle inquiries.

Bali police last night said they were working with the AFP to find a motive.

Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya said Jenson had made admissions, including buying the sledgehammer used to break into the villa and renting motorcycles and cars.

“We are still working on finding the mastermind,” Mr Adityajaya said.

He said the investigation had unearthed a handgun and three magazines for ammunition - one empty and two containing bullets - dumped in a river..

Police had also found a bag containing 18 bullet casings and 27 rounds of ammunition along with a backpack with the logo “Athlete”.

“From our investigation we found out that the crime has been planned and organised,” Mr Adityajaya said.

“The gun (and other items) was found in the river in the rice field area in Tabanan, around 700m from the villa.

“They have planned the act quite long.”

Mr Adityajaya said one of the suspects had arrived in Bali in April this year and his suspected accomplices arrived in June.

The massive probe began after two men stormed a Badung luxury villa in Bali early on June 14, shooting Sanar Ghanim and executing Radmanovic while his wife, Jazmyn, hid beneath covers in a bedroom.

Ghanim’s partner Daniella has told police she fled the villa during the raid.

The hit sparked an international manhunt involving multiple agencies including Interpol.

It is unclear who the primary target of the attack was and there is no known motivation for the crime.

There has, however, been talk in underworld circles of a “rip-off” that led to the kill plot.

The victims are believed to be flying back to Australia.

Their lawyer in Bali, Sary Latief, said safety concerns were ongoing.

Ghanim has been in Bali for months and it is understood he and his partner (Daniella Gourdeas) were planning to open a business there.

Ms Latief said her clients would release a statement in the coming weeks.

“They have been under protection. All three of them, yes,” she said.

Ms Latief said she believed investigators had already spoken to a fourth potential suspect.

“I think there is more than what has been detained right now,” she said.

“I have not officially been told of a fourth suspect but they (the police) are still building a case against the fourth suspect.

“I’m pretty sure no one has got out of the country.”

The motivation behind the attack, however, remains unknown.

“There is no official motivation for the crime,” Ms Latief said.

“There would be one (but) the motive has not been found out.”

She said the incident in the Badung luxury villa “happened so fast” there was little communication between the assailants and their victims.

“They’re not sure what is the reason, who it could be and why,” Ms Latief said.

“It could be someone (has been) told to do it.”

Bali authorities say Radmanovic’s body has been repatriated to Australia
