Three more teens have been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of Timothy Leek outside a shopping centre in Melbourne’s southeast.

Three more teenage boys are facing murder charges over a deadly shopping centre stabbing earlier this month.

Twenty-four-year-old Timothy Leek was stabbed to death on March 14 after a group of 10 young men armed with weapons surrounded him while he was sitting in his car outside Marriott Waters Shopping Centre in Lyndhurst.

Police say a fight broke out about 8.30pm before the group allegedly chased Timothy down as he tried to flee, stabbing him several times in the shopping centre’s loading dock area.

Timothy died at The Alfred hospital later that night.

Homicide detectives on Wednesday arrested two 18-year-old boys from Seaford and Cranbourne North at a Box Hill hotel.

A 17-year-old boy from the southeastern suburbs was arrested near Dandenong and all three teens have been charged with murder and armed robbery.

The 18-year-olds were set to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday afternoon.

The 17-year-old will appear at a children’s court at a later date.

The three arrests come after another 18-year-old man was charged with murder on March 22.

He was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates court on July 28.

Police say Timothy knew his accused killers, who remained on the run for days following the fatal attack after fleeing the shopping centre before police arrived.

The 24-year-old’s family has described his death as “another unbelievable tragedy” as Victoria grapples with its knife crime scourge.

Detectives are exploring whether his alleged killers used a white Hyundai stolen several days before his alleged murder to flee the scene.

The group also allegedly used the vehicle in a spate of armed hold-ups across the southeast, including at a Boronia supermarket.

Investigations into Timothy’s death continue.
