Six in hospital after car allegedly stolen in home invasion rolls at Hume Freeway in Epping
Five teenage boys and a young woman have been seriously injured after a SUV allegedly stolen during a home invasion and seen driving into oncoming traffic crashed at the Hume Freeway at Epping.

Five teenage boys and a young woman have been seriously injured after a car allegedly stolen during a home invasion drove at oncoming traffic before rolling in Melbourne’s northeast.
The Haval SUV rolled at the O’Herns Rd on-ramp to the Hume Freeway at Epping just after 1.30am on Wednesday.
Police believe it was stolen during an aggravated burglary on Starboard Drive in Doreen on Tuesday morning.
The police helicopter first spotted the vehicle allegedly speeding near Church St at Whittlesea about 1am Wednesday.
Police then lost sight of it before it was spotted again about 1.20am allegedly driving on the wrong side of Plenty Rd at South Morang.
Police deployed stop sticks on Bellevue Boulevard but the car continued through Epping before rolling near the entrance of the Hume Freeway.
All citybound lanes re-opened on the Hume Freeway near O'Herns Road, Epping following an overnight collision. The inbound exit and entry remain closed as investigations continue. Follow the direction of emergency services. Use Epping Road or the Hume Highway instead. #victraffic

All six occupants — three 17-year-old boys, two 16-year-old boys and a 19-year-old woman from Seymour — were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
They all remained in hospital on Wednesday morning.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
