Collingwood bad boy Jordan De Goey will head home to Australia before his date with a Manhattan magistrate.

The AFL star, who found himself in strife over an alleged incident in a New York nightclub, is due back in Melbourne shortly where he will face court again via Zoom.

The 25-year-old’s return was confirmed to Sheahan Ink by members of the De Goey entourage who let slip the inked up ball magnet may also have found time to nip into Las Vegas for some R&R while still on American soil.

De Goey’s backers believe the ball magnet’s defence is strong.

De Goey and friend Luke Dyson claim they were defending themselves when a pair pushed past the private booth parameters to apparently steal drinks.

De Goey and Dyson were enjoying the bottle service provided by Dream nightclub in Chelsea with the obligatory Grey Goose bottles of vodka and an assortment of mixes.

The high-profile duo didn’t take too kindly to the intrusion with De Goey allegedly pushing the male in self defence.

The protagonists were then pushed out the door by nightclub security but called 911, alleging to New York police the female was groped.

De Goey will vigorously defend the charges as is expected will Dyson who works in a New York tattoo parlour.

SWAN CUT DOWN IN SYDNEY

Dane Swan’s love-hate relationship with Sydney continues to cause him grief as he recovers from a shocking hand injury that forced him to rush home to Melbourne.

Conjecture as to how he cut himself while out on the town continues to ruminate, with Swan confirming to Sheahan Ink over lunch at Port Melbourne’s Pier restaurant there is nothing sinister behind it.

“I’ve heard all sorts of stories, but I can confirm I injured my hand in a nightclub fall around 2am,” Swan said.

Which nightclub he severely cut himself in remains as much a mystery to us as it does to him, despite a week passing.

Swan took off on the first flight available back to Melbourne where he was fortunate enough to have a Collingwood club doctor patch him up.

The gruesome injury was the latest in a run of outs for Swan in the Harbour City.

His AFL career also finished there – prematurely – as a result of an ankle injury on the SCG in the first game of the 2016 season against the Swans.

GOODWIN SNAGS ANOTHER WIN

The family home of AFL premiership coach Simon Goodwin has been sold.

The multimillion-dollar residence in East Malvern has netted the Goodwin’s a pretty penny after selling to the lucky buyer on November 13.

The family home in Davies St went under the hammer for $4,025,000 after Goodwin separated from his wife Maggie earlier this year.

The Goodwins home boasted five bedrooms, three bathrooms and three car spaces and is a stone’s throw from some of the best schools and universities in Melbourne.

Goodwin is now rumoured to be staying with the board member of a rival club and his wife until new digs can be found.
