Sam Wood fined during Victoria Police’s ‘Operation Look Out’ road safety blitz
The former reality TV star and celebrity personal trainer was caught in a police sting on Chapel St but denied the allegations and claimed he was using his car’s “hands-free” feature.

Former Bachelor star Sam Wood has been fined for allegedly using his mobile phone while driving on Chapel St.
He was allegedly caught on his phone during a random safety blitz by Victoria Police called ‘Operation Look Out’.
Mr Wood denied allegations of using his phone and instead claimed he was using his car’s “hands-free” feature.
“I’ve got nothing to say,” he said.
“I was not on my phone. I was on my hands-free.”

The successful Melbourne-based personal trainer, who sold his business 28 By Sam Wood last year, was fined $577 and slapped with four demerit points.
During the six hour sting, more than 20 drivers were fined.
Seven people were busted for not wearing a seatbelt and 12 cyclists were caught riding without a helmet.
Mr Wood rose to fame after starring in the third season of popular Australian series The Bachelor in 2015.
The season finale ended with Snezana Markoski winning Mr Wood’s heart where he gave her a $20,000 commitment ring and necklace for her nine-year-old daughter Eve.
Eight years later, the couple are still together and married with four children after renovating their high-end Elsternwick home.
