Ryan Cho, 28, allegedly set up illegal recording devices at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Austin hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and is accused of secretly filming hundreds of people in staff and patient bathrooms.

Mr Cho, a former trainee surgeon, now faces 908 charges.

“The charges are for a range of offences including stalking, produce intimate image and install optical surveillance device,” police said in a statement.

“It’s alleged a mobile phone was used as a recording device in staff toilets at all three hospitals.

“No alleged offending at any new facilities has been identified. Police do not expect to identify further alleged victims.”

Detectives have continued to trawl through Mr Cho’s devices where a court in August heard he’d allegedly captured about 4500 recordings of at least 460 staff members while they were using the toilet or shower.

In August, Mr Cho’s defence barrister said his client’s alleged offending was “complex psychiatric and psychological issues together with criminal conduct”.

The Herald Sun in August revealed that dozens of women allegedly filmed by Mr Cho were considering taking legal action against the hospitals.
