Joshua Brown’s Point Cook home was put up for rent as his alleged horror childcare crimes were publicly revealed this week, with photos showing the creature comforts the accused monster enjoyed.
The 26-year-old from Point Cook was arrested on May 12 and charged with 70 offences, including the sexual abuse of eight children aged from five months to two years old, with fears of other victims from the childcare centres he worked at across Melbourne.
The alleged offending rates as one of the state’s most horrific sex assault cases.
Records obtained by the Herald Sun show Mr Brown’s three-bedroom house was listed for rent at $500 per week early this week, through a Point Cook real estate agency.
The listing, which has since been removed from realestate.com.au, reveals the residence features two bathrooms, a main bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, kitchen including a pantry and breakfast bar, and is located opposite peaceful parkland.
The home was previously advertised for rent at $480 per week, in 2023.
The house is not listed as owned by Mr Brown and is held in a company name — a practice common for investment properties — the Herald Sun can also reveal.
Photos of the inside of the double-storey property show a stylish and modern kitchen and living area with tiled floors, a generous master bedroom suite with reverse cycle airconditioning and large windows and contemporary bathrooms.
There is also an outdoor, undercover paved terrace area leading out to the backyard.
It is not suggested the interior decor and furniture shown in the photographs is the same as when Mr Brown resided in the home.
Mr Brown was unmasked as an alleged child rapist on Tuesday.
He worked at the western suburbs Creative Garden Early Leaning Centre between October 2021 and February 2024, and at a total of 20 childcare centres across Melbourne, all while holding a valid Working With Children’s Check.
Authorities have urged more than 1200 families to test their children for sexually transmitted infections, adding further torment to the sickening case.
Police also allege Mr Brown used his body fluids to tamper with food.
