AFL WAG Chloe Pink has emerged stronger and more resilient after weathering disgusting and abusive online trolling directed towards her following her posting beautiful photos from her recent wedding.

Pink married North Melbourne’s Toby Pink last month and received a barrage of shocking comments on social media after she shared a series of celebratory shots from her special day.

Far from backing down, Pink called out the grotesque trolling and in doing so found her voice and an army of supporters.

She now plans to use her social media platform to advocate for issues that are important to her, starting with research into breast and ovarian cancer.

She is an ambassador for the Mother’s Day Classic on Sunday, May 11 which raises funds for research into both cancers.

“As a woman it is great to be an ambassador for such an important cause – I am passionate about women’s health,” Pink said.

“One of my best friends, her mum, is unfortunately on her third cancer battle. She is a beautiful lady and she deserves the world. She is a warrior and she is a fighter.

“Everyone who is available should register to do the walk or donate funds or buy a T-shirt. “We all want to be part of finding a cure. We are doing it for ourselves, we are doing it for our family, we are doing it for our friends and we are doing it for our children. I don’t currently have children, but I really hope by the time I do have a daughter, I hope there is a cure.”

Pink said the past fortnight during which she experienced the troll attack had been difficult.

“Although it was a negative experience, I am trying to find the positives. It has given me a voice and it has grown a platform for me to do things like advocate for research into breast cancer and ovarian cancer and other important causes,” she said.

“I am glad I called it out and I will continue to advocate against online bullying. I ask everyone to call out online behaviour like this.”

Pink said she had been buoyed by the tremendous support she received publicly and privately from numerous high profile people and celebrities.

“I feel stronger and better as a person now,” she said.

She added her wedding was the best day of her and Toby’s lives.

“We had a beautiful wedding, I loved my dress, I loved the way I look, we had an unreal day.”
