After eight years at the top of Townsville’s food scene, The Ville’s Quarterdeck has launched an all-new Italian themed menu.

Executive chef Nicholas Redsell when the original Quarterdeck menu was designed eight years ago, it was cutting edge of Townsville.

“Over the years other restaurants have replicated us and are offering similar things so now we’re refreshing the menu to stand out again,” he said.

“We’ve gone for an Italian theme with lots of beautiful pastas, a beef cheek ragu that has a 48 hour prep time, hand stretched pizzas, and a prawn and zucchini pizza might sound weird but it taste exceptional.”

Other changes include a reimagined chicken parmigiana where the ham is replaced by prosciutto, and the cheese by stracciatella.

“The dessert menu has also really upped its game, we’ve now go cannoli al limoncello, a semifreddo tiramisu and gelato.”

Prices on the restaurant’s menu continue to remain competitive – the arancini balls can be picked up for $16, and a carne (‘meat’ in Italian) pizza with pork sausage and ham goes for $29.

Quarterdeck is open 11am to late, everyday.
