Detectives have released new images of a man on a bike as they urgently seek answers regarding a suspicious fire at a Gulliver shop last month.

Police are calling for public assistance to identify a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident, which occurred at a tobacconist business on Mooney Street in the early hours of Thursday, January 30.

Investigators believe the back door of the business was deliberately set alight around 3.50am. While the fire did not result in any physical injuries and the property was not accessed, police are treating the matter as suspicious.

Images of a man on a bike who police believe may be able to assist with inquiries have been released as part of the investigation.

Authorities are urging anyone who recognises the individual or has information about the incident to come forward immediately.

Investigations remain ongoing.
