Two teenage boys have been charged after allegedly forcing their way into two units in Rosslea and threatening the occupants over the weekend.

Two teenage boys have been charged after allegedly forcing their way into two units in Rosslea and threatening the occupants over the weekend.

Police are investigating after two teenagers allegedly forced entry into two units in Watson Street, Rosslea, about 9.30am on Saturday.

Police said the pair allegedly threatened the occupants of both units and stole a small amount of property.

Two males — aged 16 and 18 — were apprehended by police shortly after near Mabin Street in Mundingburra and taken into custody.

The 18-year-old has been charged with four counts of armed robbery, two counts of entering a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence whilst armed with an offensive weapon and one count of possessing a dangerous drug.

He will appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday.

The 16-year-old was charged with four counts of a child under 18 armed robbery, two counts of a child under 18 entering a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence whilst armed with an offensive weapon and one count of a child under 18 possessing a dangerous drug.

He is due to appear in the Townsville Children’s Court at a later date.
