Mini car enthusiasts are preparing to hit the road for a thrilling treasure hunt adventure that winds through the streets of Townsville, all while supporting local businesses and fostering community spirit.

Hosted by Explore Property Munro & Co, the highly anticipated Townsville Mini Treasure Rally is more than just an event for Mini lovers, it’s a celebration of connection, competition, and the iconic Mini car culture.

Participants will follow clues scattered across the city, making stops at local businesses where they must complete tasks before moving on to the next destination.

“This event is a fantastic way for Mini lovers to connect, explore our city in a new light, and give back to the community,” says Jools Munro, owner of Explore Property Munro & Co.

“We’re excited to see so many Minis on the road, and we hope this rally sparks joy, excitement, and maybe even a little friendly competition among participants.”

For Jools, the inspiration behind the rally is deeply personal.

As a proud owner of an electric Mini, she noticed how other Mini drivers would wave, stop to chat, or offer a thumbs-up on the road.

“I realised that owning a Mini is being part of a community,” Jools says.

“Explore Property Munro & Co is all about community spirit, so we wanted to create an event that combines Mini cars and community engagement.”

And so, the Townsville Mini Treasure Rally was born.

It’s an event designed to bring people together, showcase Townsville’s hidden gems, and shine a spotlight on local businesses.

The treasure hunt is central to the rally, offering a fun and unpredictable element as drivers spread across the city.

“The treasure hunt was designed to give an element of fun and unpredictability to this yearly event, spreading many Minis all around Townsville at once,” says Explore Property Munro & Co’s Jake Vincent.

“Drivers will visit local businesses where they need to complete a task before receiving the next clue and moving on. It’s super exciting to see everyone getting into it.”

The rally is not just about fun, it’s also about giving back to the community.

Local businesses play a key role in the treasure hunt, acting as destinations where drivers complete tasks to earn their next clue.

This not only brings traffic to these businesses but also offers them significant marketing exposure through the event.

“We want to raise awareness for the businesses, the event, and the charity that all funds raised go towards,” Jools says.

“This year, the rally is supporting the PCYC’s Breaking the Cycle program, which helps at-risk youth in our community.

“The event is well marketed and photographed, so there’s plenty of room for businesses to get exposure. They’re a huge part of ensuring we keep this event truly local, and their involvement helps make it a success.”

For those participating for the first time, Jools and Jake have one piece of advice.

“The rally is designed to be fun with people of all ages getting involved,” says Jake.

“Our advice is to just be open-minded to making new connections with Townsville and to have fun!”

The Townsville Mini Treasure Rally has grown rapidly since its inception.

What began as a small event has now blossomed into a community favorite, with overwhelming support from both participants and local businesses.

“The Townsville community has been incredible in supporting our fundraisers from day one,” says Jools.

“The feedback we receive is always consistent praise and acknowledgment for organizing such a fantastic fundraiser. It’s not just about the Mini cars — it’s about the sense of community we’ve built through this event.”

For those who haven’t yet secured a spot in this year’s rally on October 13, tickets are still available for $33 and can be purchased through the event’s website, nqminitreasurerally.com, or via the Explore Property Munro & Co Facebook page.

Each ticket includes entry into the rally, access to all treasure hunt activities, and a chance to win amazing prizes.

With a day packed full of adventure, surprises, and camaraderie, the Townsville Mini Treasure Rally is set to be an unforgettable experience.
