Female motorist suffers broken leg in West End crash

A female motorist sustained a broken leg after a two-vehicle crash in Townsville on Thursday night.

A FEMALE motorist was hospitalised after her leg was broken in a two-vehicle crash at West End on Thursday night.

The crash, which partially blocked the intersection of Hugh St and Gorden St, was reported to authorities just after 6pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said a woman suffered a lower leg fracture.

She was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.

An 18-year-old male was also treated by paramedics for a minor burn to the hand.

Police confirmed that the intersection had been cleared at 7.05pm.
