For many people returning to work on a Monday can be a bit of a downer, but for one North Queensland woman it was anything but after receiving a life changing call.
A Charters Towers woman filled her office with screams of joy after being told she had won $100,000 in a Lucky Lotteries draw.
Not only did she take out the first place prize, but also nabbed a $1000 consolation prize as well.
The woman laughed with excitement and said this money would change her and her husband’s life.
“I’m at work right now and I just lost it completely,” she said.
“I’m yelling out to a few of my work colleagues, and they’re looking at me like I’m some sort of mad woman.
“Honestly, I’m so glad I was sitting down when you broke the news to me. I’m pretty sure I would’ve fainted otherwise.
“I can’t wait to call my husband and share the news with him.”
Her winning entry of two consecutive numbers was purchased via The Lott app.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is currently sitting at $4.60 million for draw 1697, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $11.42 million for draw 10928.
