Townsville man suffers facial injuries after assault in Rosslea
Police have asked for public assistance after a man was assaulted by a group of men in Rosslea and had to be taken to hospital.

Police are investigating after they received reports of a man being assaulted by a group of men known to him in Townsville.
A Queensland Police spokesman said at 2:50am Wednesday, a 37-year-old man contacted emergency services from a payphone on Bowen Rd where he reported being assaulted by a group of men with a fire extinguisher.
The man said he was attacked at a Hodel Street home.
Earlier Queensland Ambulance confirmed paramedics treated the man for facial injuries and he was taken to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police have urged anyone with information including CCTV to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
