Hitting the home stretch of the election campaign, the Liberals took a B-double tanker on the road with their key message, while Labor honed in on the cons of nuclear energy.

Politicians were out in force on Sunday, just six days before the federal election, including rolling out a fuel tanker.

It was tit-for-tat with the two major parties over issues that have shaped the campaign so far

of renewable energy, fuel prices and salmon farming.
