A third member of the JackJumpers is on his way to the Paris Olympic Games

Another member of the JackJumpers’ NBL championship-winning outfit has been selected for the Olympic Games.

Another JackJumper has been selected for the Olympic Games in Paris with the team’s head physiotherapist Ryan Carroll appointed onto the team to support the Australian Boomers as they go for gold.

The Tasmanian physio said a life-long dream had been realized, as the man who started his career in Devonport joins JackJumpers’ NBL championship-winning players Will Magnay and Jack McVeigh on the road with the Boomers.

“Joining the Boomers for the Olympics is a dream come true,” Carroll said.

“From watching the Olympics as a kid to now supporting our national team on the world stage, it’s an incredible honour.

“Working with Will and Jack, who have both shown immense growth and resilience, makes this experience even more rewarding.”

In announcing Carroll’s appointment, the JackJumpers said it was well-earned recognition of his skill and commitment.

“This prestigious appointment underscores Carroll’s exceptional skills and dedication to sports physiotherapy, marking a significant milestone in his career and bringing honour to the JackJumpers and Tasmania,” the release said.

“Carroll’s role with the Boomers represents a vital contribution to the health and performance of the players.

JackJumpers general manager Mika Vukona said the state should feel proud.
