Talented Marlin in US college move

Emerging FNQ guard Mason Khalu has committed to Cardinal Stritch University in Wisconsin.
The talented Khalu has been with the Cairns Marlins in the QBL over the last few seasons and was a training player with the Taipans in the NBL last summer.
As well as hoops, the athletic guard has spent time with the Manunda Hawks in the local AFL Cairns competition, making his senior debut in 2018.
He has played a few games for the Hawks this season in the reserves.
The 20-year-old was awarded as the Marlins’ most improved player in their last QBL season.
The Cardinal Stritch University competes in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as the Wolves.
