Leopold stormed into another grand final, and it was big man Harris Jennings who stood the tallest.

Jennings has spent time in the ruck in recent weeks but he was back in defence for the majority of their win and dominated with 13 intercept possessions, five intercept marks, 23 disposals, six tackles and 163 Premier Data ranking points.

It was the top-ranked performance in their clash with St Joseph’s and the best across the semi-final weekend of GFNL action.

St Joseph’s contested animal James Gow willed his side in the midfield, producing some astonishing numbers in the clinches: 28 disposals, 23 contested possessions, 12 clearances, 10 tackles, six inside 50s and 150 points.

James Hickey wasn’t far behind him with 28 disposals, 15 contested possessions, 10 clearances and 132 points himself, getting prime service from ruckman Olivier Northam (49 hit-outs, 15 disposals, 10 contested possessions, seven one-percenters and 129 points)

Leopold’s midfield was also on its game with Logan Wagener racking up 26 disposals, 15 contested possessions, seven tackles and 125 points, while Tate Porter (25 disposals, 10 tackles, seven clearances and 115 points) also had a productive final.

In South Barwon’s barnstorming win over Bell Park it was Fraser Fort who was the hero, bagging seven goals — five of those coming in a second quarter for the ages.

Fort scored 57 of his 127 ranking points in the second term, also finishing with 17 disposals, 14 contested possessions, three contested marks.

At the other end, intercept king Rowan Gough backed up his 16 intercept possessions last week with a whoping nine intercept marks along with 11 intercept possessions, 13 disposals, six one-percenters and 123 points.

Damian McMahon led the way for St Mary’s with 26 disposals, 20 of those kicks, nine marks, seven inside 50s and 121 points.

Swan Harry Cunningham (16 touches, 12 contested possessions, 10 tackles, two goals and 120 points) and Saints gun Jarryd Garner (26 disposals, 13 contested possessions, eight clearances, two goals and 112 points) both hit the scoreboard.
