A boy has been arrested over a threatening robbery involving a knife at a CBD convenience store overnight.

A boy has been arrested after he allegedly threatened a convenience store worker with a knife before stealing cash on Hindley St overnight.

Two males entered the store about 9.15pm Saturday and allegedly jumped the counter after making threats with the weapon, and stole items before leaving.

Patrols attended and searched the area, and located one of the suspects with the knife nearby.

The Ottoway boy, 15, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and hindering police, he was bailed to appear in the youth court in October.

The second suspect remains at large and investigations are ongoing.

It follows the arrest of four teenagers after two terrifying CBD robberies involving knives earlier this week.

In the first incident, two teenage boys, one armed with a knife, entered a Rundle St convenience store and threatened staff about 2.45pm Wednesday.

They left with cash from the till.

About 15 minutes later a group of teenagers entered a Waymouth St convenience store where they threatened staff with a knife, and stole cigarettes and money from the till before running off towards Light Square.

Police attended and arrested four boys and charged them with aggravated robbery, including a Renown Park boy, 15, a Gawler West boy, 16, a Gawler East boy, 14, and a Royal Park boy, 14.
