Two southern suburbs women will face court after being charged with the alleged criminal neglect of three children.
Police said Southern District CIB launched an investigation in December last year after three children were found to be “living in a state of extreme squalor with no food at the home”.
Police said the children, aged 14, 5 and 3 years, were in an “unkempt and dirty condition”.
Detectives deemed the home uninhabitable and removed the children.
Two women, aged 32 and 59, living in the home were arrested and charged with three counts each of criminal neglect and failing to provide appropriate food and accommodation.
Both women were bailed to face the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on June 6.
The charges come days after the arrests of three people in relation to three high-profile and unrelated alleged child neglect cases.
On Wednesday, Major Crime and Public Protection Branch detectives swooped on addresses at Munno Para, Craigmore and Flagstaff Hill and arrested Crystal Hanley, 47, who previously used the surname Nowland, and Shane Wanganeen, 50, in connection with the deaths last year of Charlie Nowland, 6, and Makai Wanganeen, 7, and Jenni Wilmott, 54, over the 2018 death of Jasmine Wilmott, 15.
The charges arise from three separate deaths.
None of the three accused or victims are connected.
