A woman has suffered serious injuries after being stuck by a car in Adelaide’s south-east.

A 30-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after she was struck by a car at Glenelg East on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at around 4.42pm at the intersection of Brighton Road and Lapthorne Street, where a black Toyota Corolla sedan collided with a pedestrian, police said.

The woman suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.

The driver of the sedan stopped and provided assistance as did other members of the public.
