A 25-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle crash on the Port Wakefield Hwy.

A young woman has died in hospital a day after a serious crash at Port Wakefield.
Emergency services were called to Port Wakefield Hwy just after 11am on Tuesday to find the vehicle in nearby scrub.
The driver, a 25-year-old woman from Port Wakefield, managed to get herself out of the car before police and paramedics arrived. However, it is understood her condition quickly deteriorated.
She was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital but succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.

Diversions were in place at the time of the accident but northbound route traffic from Dublin via Mallala has since reopened.
Southbound heavy vehicles were also being escorted using one lane, while light vehicle traffic was being redirected via Mudge Rd and Shrike Rd.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area if possible.
Her death is the 11th life lost on South Australian roads in 2023, compared with four at this time last year.
