Adelaide weather heating up as mercury nears 30C heading into the October long weekend

Adelaide is set to get a sneak peek at the warmer weather to come with a sunny 24C on Wednesday leading into a top of 28C on Thursday.
But despite the midweek sunbake, the Bureau of Meteorology is tipping cooler conditions with rain into the weekend.
Showers are expected to develop late on Thursday with Friday dropping to a top of 22C and each day of the long weekend – Saturday, Sunday and Monday – tipped for a top of 20C with possible showers.
In the regions, the Riverland is set to reach over 30C this week with 26C tipped today at Renmark before a top of 32C tomorrow.
Murray Bridge is also set for a Wednesday top of 26C before climbing to 31C on Thursday, with Keith – in the state’s upper South-East set for 24C today and 30C tomorrow.
It is similar for the state’s Iron Triangle with Port Pirie, Port Augusta and Whyalla tipped for tops from 26-29C before tipping over 30C on Thursday.
