A sunny weekend with clear skies and little wind is expected for the first weekend of February in Adelaide.
The city is expected to reach a high of 29C on Friday, February 2, with clouds clearing.
Residents in the city can then expect tops of 33C on both Saturday and Sunday before a cool change sweeps in with temperatures in the mid 20s for the start of next week.
The change is expected to bring about cloudy skies until at least Wednesday.
Elsewhere in the state, Port Augusta is set to reach 39 degrees on Saturday before hotting up again to 44C on Sunday, before the cool change drops the predicted maximum to 25C.
Murray Bridge can expect a top of 36C on Saturday and Sunday before dropping to 24C on Monday.
In the state’s Far North, temperatures are expected above 40C on Saturday, with 42C expected at Moomba. Temperatures are set to stay high with rain developing on Sunday and 39C, with more heavy showers tipped for Monday and a maximum of 37C.
In the South-East, the weekend should hit 30C in Mount Gambier on both Saturday and Sunday.
