Walkerville alleged thieves arrested for failed attempted jewellery heist
A man and woman have been apprehended at their north east home and charged over an unsuccessful break-in at a store on Thursday morning.

Two people have been charged accused of involvement in an attempted break-in of a jewellery store in Walkerville.
A 24-year old man and a 26-year old woman were arrested at their home just before 12pm on Friday.
Class A Jewellers on North East Road was targeted in a smash and grab robbery on Thursday at 2.30am, but CCTV footage from the business showed the thieves leaving empty-handed after being unable to break through the business’s bulletproof store door.
The business had recently conducted renovations only two weeks ago which saw the installation of the 16mm thick bullet proof glass at the front of the premises.
The front foyer doors, however, were smashed with police finding a large amount of damage and broken glass around the front of the building.
Police employed the use of police dog, Rusty in conducting investigations on Thursday, picking up a track along Fuller Street where an empty backpack was located in the garden of a church.
However, the suspects were not found at that time.
They were eventually located at their home in Walkerville, where the man was charged with property damage, serious criminal trespass, breach of bail and hinder police. The woman was charged with being unlawfully on premises.
The man has also been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday next week.
The woman has been granted bail and set to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 13 February.
