Angry Virgin passengers have vented their frustration after flights were cancelled and delayed at Adelaide Airport on Saturday.

Two flights were cancelled and some passengers said they were given only 10 minutes warning before the designated boarding time.

The cancellations left the Giannakopolous family searching for alternative arrangements to get to Melbourne in time for a wedding.

“My sister’s daughter is getting married and my daughter is one of the bridesmaids, so we need to be there, on our flight to get to Melbourne,” Marina Giannakopolous told 9News.

Virgin told 9News crew shortages and an inbound plane missing curfew on Friday night because of bad weather interstate, were to blame.

Virgin apologised for the cancellations and said it was working hard to get passengers to their destinations.
