An Adelaide Metro bus driver has been fined and stood down while the transport department investigates a collision at a Bedford Park intersection.
The 600A bus collided with a ute earlier this month, injuring two people.
Shocking dashcam footage posted to Facebook two days ago shows the bus entering an intersection on what appears to be a red light.
Seconds later, a ute crashes into the side of the bus.
Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Main South Road and Flinders Drive at Bedford Park on the morning of October 21 following reports of the collision.
One passenger and the driver of the vehicle were treated for minor injuries.
Police said the bus driver was not hurt but has been issued with an expiation notice “for disobeying traffic light”.
It is unclear whether the bus driver will face further penalties.
A Department of Transport spokesperson said they were reviewing the circumstances of the incident including all relevant vision.
“Following the incident, the driver was stood down pending the completion of an internal investigation, which is still underway.”
The footage was posted to the Dashcams Adelaide group.
