VALO Adelaide 500 has announced it will significantly increase the number of undercover grandstand seats at its 2023 event.
Event organisers will increase the number of undercover seating by almost 70 per cent – a significant increase of 44 per cent from last year.
The organisation said they came to the conclusion after a debrief following last year’s event – which included taking feedback from audience members into consideration.
Mark Warren, VALO Adelaide 500 CEO, said listening to fans and considering their feedback is important.
“We pride ourselves on listening to our fans to ensure they have the best event experience possible,” he said.
The CEO said they have introduced the increased seating to “build upon what was an enormously successful event.”
“(We) look forward to hosting another outstanding VALO Adelaide 500 in 2023,” he said.
Premier Peter Malinauskas said “tight time frames” last year meant they couldn’t secure as much shade as they had hoped.
“In November, I committed to increasing covered seating for this year’s event,” he said.
“Now, we’re delivering, with 84 per cent of the Pit Lane Grandstand to be covered.”
Tickets for grandstand seating will go on sale to the public in early May with four-day adult grandstand covered seats starting at $299 and uncovered seats starting at $252.
Single day adult grandstand seats will be on sale for as little as $98 for a covered seat and $88 for an uncovered seat.
