A two-year-old child was rushed to hospital by ambulance after suffering a head knock at a childcare centre in the western suburbs on Wednesday afternoon.
Just after midday, paramedics were called out to a ‘traumatic injuries’ incident at the Stepping Stone SA Childcare & Early Development Centre on Grange Rd, Kidman Park.
MedStar Ambulance was also dispatched to the scene.
An SA Ambulance spokesperson said a two-year-old child was taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital following a head knock but returned home later in the afternoon.
Police did not attend the incident.
A spokeswoman for the childcare centre said the child was “well and back home with the family following a precautionary examination in hospital”.
“Staff at Stepping Stone Childcare Centre at Kidman Park followed appropriate procedure in contacting SA Ambulance,” the centre’s spokeswoman said.
