Two-vehicle collision at Reedy Creek in SA’s Limestone Coast

A 19-year-old man has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after a two-car crash at Reedy Creek, near Kingston, in the state’s Limestone Coast region.

A 19-year-old man has been flown to hospital after a head-on collision in the state’s Limestone Coast region.

Shortly before 10am on Monday, emergency services were called to the Princes Highway at Reedy Creek, near Kingston.

Initial reports indicate two cars were involved in a head-on collision.

A 19-year-old male driver, from Victoria, and his 14-year-old passenger were both taken to Kingston Hospital.

The 19-year-old was later flown to Adelaide in a serious condition.

The occupants of the other vehicle, a 42-year-old male driver and his 41-year-old female passenger, both from Hove, were also taken to Kingston Hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

The Princes Highway was closed between Bowaka and Saltwell Rds for several hours, but reopened around 3pm.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

It follows another serious crash on the long weekend, involving two cars near Lucindale.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Avenue Range Rd and Crowder Rd just before 4pm on Friday, after reports of a two car crash.

There has been a serious crash at Reedy Creek involving two cars.

One car was towing a caravan when the cars collided.

A 30-year-old female driver was rushed to Mt Gambier Hospital after sustaining hip and shoulder injuries in the crash.

A 68-year-old driver was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two children in one vehicle did not sustain any life-threatening injuries, but were also taken to Mt Gambier Hospital for abdominal pain.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led up the crash.
