“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we farewell Kerry Pomery who we lost yesterday in a tragic accident at our Victor Harbor site,” the statement said.

“Kerry was a much-loved member of RDASA and a beloved mother of two.

“All our thoughts are with her family, friends, colleagues and everyone in the Riding for the Disabled community.”

Social media has been flooded with condolences for Ms Pomery, who worked at the Victor Harbor Council where she played a key role supporting volunteer organisations across the Fleurieu Peninsula.

One user said that Kerry was “such a valued and valuable person”.

Another friend posted that she struggled to comprehend the death.

“I can’t believe it at all,” they said. “You will be dearly missed by all.”

A friend said they would miss Ms Pomery’s “big beaming smile” and wouldremember her as someone who “had time and love for everybody”.

Another spoke of Ms Pomery’s selflessness.

“You did so much for everyone else,” they wrote.

Just after 1pm on Friday, police and paramedics rushed to a property on Lipizzaner Drive after reports of an accident.

An SA Ambulance spokeswoman said a woman was dropping in and out of consciousness when emergency services arrived.

The spokeswoman said she then went into cardiac arrest.

She died at the scene.
