Tributes for daughter of AMA SA boss after Caillin Atchison’s untimely death
AMA state president Michelle Atchison has paid tribute to her ‘kind and generous’ daughter who died suddenly on Wednesday, saying the family’s hearts are breaking.

Australian Medical Association state president Michelle Atchison says the family’s hearts are breaking over the death of daughter Caillin.
Caillin, 26, died on Wednesday.
In a heartfelt tribute in The Advertiser’s death notices, Caillin’s parents said she was “kind and generous”, selflessly gave her love to many people and was deeply loved in return.
“Our hearts break when we realise that we will no longer see your contagious cheeky shrewd smile, hear your joyful laugh when we share a joke or share your tears in times of pain,” the tribute said.
“The world is such a lesser place without you in it, you beautiful person.
“You will be remembered fiercely and longingly by all of those who were lucky enough to know you.”
The notice said Caillin loved her family, friends and animals.
“We love you to the moon and back and you know that we will forever,” it said.
Dozens of people have taken to social media after Michelle Atchison announced on Twitter her 26-year-old daughter Caillin had died.
In a tweet on Thursday night, Dr Atchison said: “The light in our life has gone out. My beautiful and only daughter died yesterday. She never woke up.”

She said the death was “utterly unexpected” leaving her and husband Barry shattered.
Friends have posted touching tributes in Caillin's memory, including one who said she was lucky to have known her.
“We’re all in utter shock that you’re gone, and you will forever be in our hearts and minds, thank you for sharing your contagious laugh with us.”
Another said she was going to miss Caillin more than she could ever describe.
“You were truly so special and so loved, you’ll forever be in my heart,” the post wrote.
“Til next time … I love you eternally.”
Caillin's cause of death is not yet known.
A friend said she would miss Caillin's understanding nature.
“You hold a huge place in my heart because you were there and understanding with my illness at the hardest times and always reminded me everyday that I wasn’t alone,” she said.
“Another beautiful soul gone too soon.”
Hundreds of heartfelt replies to Dr Atchison’s tweet also flooded social media, including one from Health Minister Chris Picton.
“Michelle this is so absolutely awful and shocking. I am devastated for your loss. Sending love to your family at this incredibly difficult time,” he said.
