Five people injured in serious two-car crash at Pages Flat Rd and Victor Harbor Rd intersection

Four women aged from 67 to 88 are in hospital, and a man in his 70s is in a critical condition, after two cars collided at a notorious intersection.

Five hurt in two-car collision on Victor Harbor Rd

A man in his 70s has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition, while four other women aged between 67 and 88 are in Flinders after a two-car collision at Willunga Hill.

Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Pages Flat and Victor Harbor roads about 8.30am on Friday, after reports of the crash.

A Mazda SUV and Toyota sedan collided at the intersection, with the driver of one – a man from Port Elliot man, 73, flown to Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries. He is in a critical condition.

A 79-year-old woman driving the other vehicle with her three female passengers aged 67, 74, and 88 were all taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with non-life-threatening injuries including chest pains and arm and neck injuries.

It’s understood doctors are “particularly concerned” about one of the drivers, who suffered a stroke at the scene.

Major Crash officers were seen conducting an investigation at the accident, part of which included a drone flyover of the area.

Traffic on Victor Harbor Road and Pages Flat Road was diverted for several hours but roads were reopened just before 3pm.
