The crash saw a Stobie pole and power lines brought down over the road, resulting in the road hazard and a power outage.

SA Power Networks Cecilia Schutz told ABC morning radio it would take the “best part of the morning” to clear the hazard and allow traffic to flow.

“Our crews are there at the moment doing some work but it’s quite complex,” she said.

“They’re going have to get a crane in to move that pole so it would be great if motorists have an alternate route.”

The power outage is affecting businesses on the north-west side of the Grand Junction Rd and Prospect Rd intersection.
