Three days of low intensity heatwaves expected to hit SA
Parts of SA are set to record temperatures up to 40 again this week as this year’s late summer continues to play catch up.

More heat is on the way across South Australia with a series of low-level heatwaves expected to hit the state over the next few days.
And while the Bureau says most of the heat will be manageable, some areas can expect to see 40C before the end of the week.
The Bureau says a low intensity heatwave will arrive on for Tuesday in the Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Kangaroo Island, Mid North, North East Pastoral and North West Pastoral areas.
On Wednesday the heat will hit the Adelaide metropolitan area as well as the Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Kangaroo Island, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Murraylands, North East Pastoral, North West Pastoral, Riverland, Upper South East, and West Coast.
By Thursday most of the heatwaves across state are expected to taper off, however another low intensity heatwave has been forecast in North East Pastoral, North West Pastoral, and Riverland.
According to the Bureau, low-intensity heatwaves are common in South Australia during summer and most people are able to cope well, but the very young, older people or those with medical conditions should take care.
Sydney storms lead to flight cancellations at Adelaide airport
Meanwhile in Sydney, severe thunderstorms and showers have sent the city into chaos and led to five flights from Adelaide being cancelled.
Passengers on Qantas QF744, Jetstar JQ767, Qantas QF745, Jetstar JQ766 and Virgin VA442 had their plans derailed on Monday afternoon.
Adelaide
Adelaide will be cloudy on Tuesday with a minimum of 21C and a max of 33C.
By Wednesday, city residents can expect sunny skies with a minimum of 20C on Wednesday and a top of 35C.
On Thursday, temperatures are expected to drop to a minimum of 19C on Thursday and a max of 29C with sunny skies and a 5% chance of rain.
Maitland
Maitland is expected to drop to 18C overnight and reach 35 during the day on Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday have been forecast as sunny with a maximum of 34C on Wednesday, dropping to a tops of 29C on Thursday.
The minimum temperature will fall to 15C and 17C on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Mount Gambier
In Mount Gambier, it is forecast to be cloudy on Tuesday with a minimum temperature of 12C and a max of 28C.
Further inland, Port Pirie can expect clouds and a 5% chance of rain on Tuesday with a minimum of 22C and a max of 38C.
On Wednesday it is expected to be mostly sunny with a maximum of 36C and a minimum of 14C.
By Thursday Mount Gambier will see a top of 26C and a minimum of 17C with clouds expected.
Moomba
At Moomba the heat is expected to reach 40C on Tuesday despite being partly cloudy, before dropping to a minimum of 27C.
A top of 37C on Wednesday and 39C on Thursday have been forecast with a shower or two expected on Wednesday.
By Thursday, sunny skies are expected to return with a minimum of 24C.
Nullarbor
Elsewhere in the state, the remote Nullarbor region can expect a chance of fog early Tuesday morning, with overnight temperatures falling to around 16C and daytime temperatures reaching from 28C to 35C.
On Wednesday the mercury will rise to a top of 43C and a minimum of 17C.
Thursday it is expected to cool down to 26C max and a minimum of 28C.
