The temperature in Adelaide dipped to 5.8C at 6am this morning, while the fog has prompted a road weather alert.
“Reduced visibility in fog will make road conditions dangerous this morning in Adelaide and the hills,” the bureau said.
Police are advising drivers to slow down and take extra care, maintain a safe following distance and turn on their headlights.
There have also been delays at the airport, where some early flights were delayed until 7.50am.
The fog is expected to clear during the morning, and a top of 16C forecast for Saturday. Light winds are expected in the late afternoon.
