The Advertiser Foundation donates $30,000 to vulnerable children as part of Christmas Kids Appeal

The Advertiser Foundation has donated $30,000 to vulnerable children as part of its annual Christmas Kids Appeal – but hurry if you want to donate as you have until 1pm Friday.

The Advertiser Foundation has donated $30,000 to vulnerable children as part of its annual Christmas Kids Appeal.

Foundation head Dan Demaria said the donation would go towards Christmas presents and food for the children.

“We are delighted to be able to transfer $30,000 to KickStart For Kids,” Mr Demaria said, as he praised KickStart for Kids chief executive Ian Steel.

“He is a real doer – he’s recognised there’s a problem but rather than talk about it he has rolled up his sleeves and has done something about it,” Mr Demaria said.

“We’re also so thankful to Foodland Supermarkets, Bird In Hand Winery and all of our readers, staff and corporate partners who have donated toys and cash.”

Harbour Town has also donated a $50 gift card for each for KickStart for Kids child to buy essential clothes.

“It’s made Christmas for all the kids we look after, hopefully we can make a difference with the help of The Advertiser Foundation,” Mr Steel said.

People can donate to the appeal until 1pm Friday.

They can also contribute by taking a selfie with Santa at Mitcham Foodland on Thursday and Rundle Mall Foodland on Friday.
