A P-plater has been stripped of his licence after speeding past a roadside speed trap, reaching more than 50km above the speed limit in the Adelaide Hills – all within 15 minutes.
Police will allege that between 5.40pm and 5.55pm Sunday, an 18-year-old driver of a Holden sedan zoomed past a speed camera in an 80km/h zone.
The alleged speeds recorded were 131km/h, 119km/h and 127km/h on Gorge Rd at Paracombe.
Officers from the Road Police Section went to the vehicle owner’s home and spoke with the driver, with checks revealing he was a provisional licence holder.
The teen was issued with two instant loss of licences, and three expiation notices – or almost $6000 in fines.
