Sleeping residents woken by car crashing into bedroom, while stolen car tries to ‘run down’ police officers
Sleeping residents were woken to a car crashing into their bedroom north of Adelaide this morning. And on the other side of town a driver in a stolen car allegedly tried to ram police officers.

Sleeping residents were shocked to wake after a car crashed into their bedroom wall at Salisbury North.
The Ford SUV was driving on Woodyates Ave about 1am Monday, when it crashed into the fence of one home, before driving through the neighbouring property’s fence, hitting a car in the driveway, and then the front wall of the home’s bedroom.
The driver drove off, but police found the car on nearby Log Rd a short time later.
A St Peters man behind the wheel, age 48, was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital to be medically assessed.
He was reported for driving without due care, driving disqualified, and leaving the scene of a crash.
He may face drug driving charges pending forensic analysis following a blood test.
No-one was injured, but the Salisbury North home was significantly damaged.
Meanwhile, two men have been arrested after allegedly attempting to run down two police officers in a stolen car before crashing into a patrol car at Aldinga Beach. .
The officers saw the Subaru Outback in the driveway of a home in Dover St about 3.30pm Sunday, which had been stolen during a house break-in at West Lakes the night before.
The patrol car pulled up behind the Subaru and the two officers got out to approach the vehicle.
The driver then allegedly drove towards the officers, narrowly missing them, but crashing into the patrol car before driving off.
Police swarmed the area, and the Subaru was spotted travelling north on Commercial Rd before it drove out of sight.
A short time later it was found abandoned on Penzance St at Port Noarlunga.
Two men ran from the car but were arrested on nearby Weatherald Tce.
A Christie Downs man, 26 and a St Marys man, 20, were charged with two counts of acts to endanger life, driving at speed, and illegal use of a motor vehicle.
They were refused bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.
